Suprematist Icon. Motherhood

"Suprematist Icon. Motherhood." 1999.
Oil on canvas. 39.4 x 31.5 in.

1999. My most important ten-year project, The Right to Dream, had come to an end. I realized that nothing continues by itself. Life had to move forward. Searching for new ideas, new opportunities, and new sources of income, I found myself in the position of a pawn on a chessboard. I needed support. The idea of creating a Suprematist Icon came naturally. Mary tenderly embraces her child through the Cross. Alex Goncharenko.
